Sera Vipan Nature XL (1000ml) is the large-format version of Sera’s universal staple food, specifically featuring extra-large flakes. This 1000ml (approx. 210g) tin is designed for aquariums with larger ornamental fish that feed at the surface.

Key Differences (XL vs. Standard)

• Flake Size: The “XL” flakes are significantly larger and firmer than the standard Vipan. This allows larger fish to grab substantial bites rather than chasing tiny particles, which helps reduce food waste and water clouding.

• Target Fish: Ideal for larger community fish such as large Angelfish, Silver Dollars, bigger Barbs, Rainbowfish, and medium-sized Cichlids.

• Insect Meal (4%): Uses sustainable Hermetia larvae as a natural, high-quality protein source, mimicking the natural diet of surface-feeding fish.

• Nature Formula: Part of the “Nature” line, meaning it is free from all artificial dyes and preservatives. The colors are derived naturally from ingredients like Spirulina.

Feeding Guide

• Large Mouths only: If you have very small fish (like Neon Tetras) alongside your large fish, you may need to crush some of these XL flakes between your fingers so the smaller inhabitants can eat.

• Frequency: Feed once or twice daily, only as much as the fish can consume in 2–3 minutes.

• Storage: Because this is a 1000ml tin, ensure it is stored in a cool, dry place. Repeatedly opening a large tin can introduce moisture, so some hobbyists prefer to refill a smaller 100ml tin from this “bulk” container to keep the main supply fresh.
